We were heading out to Knoxville, and figured well, the interstate crosses the river 5 times, so you know. We got to the steps about 5:45, and I hooked up on my first 3 casts, only to lose all three. Then I got settled in, and it was on. I was catching browns one after the other, just nailing the clouser on the strip. hooked into a solid brown that took a bunch of line off the 5wt, not to mention put a nice bend in the rod. I was working to keep the fish out of the current, and Adam worked his way up to net the fish. All it took was the fish seeing that net one time and he broke me off. Hope he likes the clouser, that one was getting torn up anyway. That was my excitement, meanwhile, Adam switched to a wooly bugger he likes,(you know, those flies that you only have one of). He was in to fish in no time, and so goes the story until about 10. We landed a bunch or scrappy browns and rainbows for a solid monday night. See what happens when the camera is out of commission?
