Fly Fishing for Team Dolly
Here at Buzz’d we are proud to be a part of our local community, and help out in any way that we can. From the Conservation of our fisheries’ future sustainability to supporting Leukemia research, we are more than happy to do our part to help.

In October of 2009, I learned that 3 year old Madelyn Gregg, who is my brother-in-law’s niece, was diagnosed with Leukemia. Madelyn is a beautiful, spunky little girl just full of life who loves to play, sing, dance, and fish. After thinking about what we could do far Madelyn and her family for awhile, I found out how we could help. Fly Fishing for Team Dolly – Dolly is the name that Madelyn gave her baby doll, and the foundation in support of her fight with Leukemia is named Team Dolly.
Every fish we caught from October to January 15th, the night of the benefit concert at Douglas Corner ,was worth one dollar in the pot for Madelyn. The last portion of 2009 was a struggle with the tailwaters and weather to get some steady fishing time, but we managed to get 201 fish to hand to help support this little trooper’s battle. We have already started our 2010 tally, and so far so good! It looks like its going to be a good year for Team Dolly, and a bad year to be Leukemia!!

We encourage everyone to join our cause in Fly Fishing for Team Dolly. If you wish to donate the earnings from your own fish count, or just donate at all, please contact us or visit Madelyn’s Caringbridge website. You can also check out Team Dolly on facebook. Until Madelyn and her family win this battle, we will be right here fishing for the cause.
